This months' musical selection is dedicated to... I'm not saying.
Yeah, I know it's tacky, but it makes me laugh!

PAC Rat Meeting Agenda for September 2, 2005

I. Old Business

A. Jack and the Beanstalk Wrap-up: Thanks to everyone who helped out with Jack and the Beanstalk. We had a great turn out. Our total attendance was 1,236. Everyone is looking forward to putting the show up again in January.

II. New Business

A. Cookbooks: Yes, we are still selling cookbooks. They are $8.00 a piece. They actually have a lot of great recipes in them, so if you have not gotten one yet, pick one up. Please. See Angela if you want one.

B. Rat Rag: It's alive! The Rat Rag has been resurrected by Barry and Rochelle. They have already published one issue and the next is on the way. They have set up an email address if you want to send them any news, photos, or other ideas. Send all inquires to

C. Auditions for fall show: The fall PAC Rat show is More Than Meets the Eye by Fred Carmichael and directed by Tianna Ruelas. Auditions were August 30th and 31st from 7 to 10pm. Congrats to those people who got cast!

D. Fall show help: The fall show is also going to need some help on the technical side. We need a set and costume designer among other help. Please contact Tianna or Dominic if you want to help.

E. Fabrics clean up: The many boxes of fabric in the costume shop need organizing. They are quite a mess. So if you want to help organize all of the fabulous fabric let Ellie or Angela know when you can make a cameo.

F. "Stars of the Lyric Opera at Millennium Park" outing: On Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 7:30 pm the Lyric Opera of Chicago will be presenting a star-studded free outdoor concert as its pre-season gift to the city. The show will be at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Some of the stars from the current season will be singing.

G. Factory Theater Outing: The Factory Theater Company is a Theatre Company that has been recommended by Ellie. The next production is in November and is called Top Shelf! If people are interested I could call and find out more information.

H. Other outings: The Chicago Reader has listings of all the shows going on in the city. I will keep an eye out for cool stuff for us to check out. If anyone else has any ideas please feel free to share.

I. Cast on a Hot Tin Roof: (A parody of Tennessee Williams plays) opens this weekend and runs through November at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm Tickets are $15.00 each. Dinner before the show at Uncle Julio's around the Corner is a possibility. Let Paul know if you are interested

J. Movie Night: It's movie night! It's movie night! We have picked a date for the next movie night. We will be watching "1-2-3" and "The Court Jester" (Recommended by Barry) on Saturday, September 17th @ 7:00 pm. Please be warned that there will be no air conditioning because it is Saturday. So no whine with your cheese! Feel free to bring non-spillable food items to share.

K. Movie Night Selection: If there are movies that you would like to show for a future movie night you can submit your ideas and we just may be watching your selections next. You cannot just say "I want to see Alien and Terminator!" Your movie choices should serve a purpose. Why should we be watching these movies? You can send your ideas to the Rat Rag e-mail and they will list possibilities and we can vote on them.

L. Recruitment: OK, so we want to start getting more people from the school involved in the theatre. Some people do not even realize there is a Theatre Company or a Theatre Department. So we need volunteers to possibly do some recruitment. For example, going to classes and talking about how much freaking fun we have down here. We do not have to necessarily keep the classroom visits to "Liberal Arts" classes but math or science as well.

M. PAC Rat Reunion: Joey had a great idea kinda like a High School Reunion wherein we find contacts for all the "old school" PAC Rats and new ones and have a party in the "new" theatre.

N. Halloween: Halloween is a holy day for actors, let's try and plan an outing. (Not Rocky Horror, please.)

O. PAC Rat Wedding Celebration: Patrick McHugh and Shannon Lisewski are tying the knot on September 17, 2005. Congratulations!

P. Officers E-mail Addresses:

Old Business:
Regarding the PAC Rat Reunion, it was decided that Joey would be in charge of that.

When discussing movie night, Dawn asked if anyone had a problem with 1-2-3 being the first movie. No one did so 1-2-3 will be shown first.

All other business was read from the agenda and duly noted.

New Business:
Oct. 1st
there will be a used book sale in Park Forest. Interested parties should contact Joey.

Sept. 17th is the Sauk Village Corn Roast. Interested parties should contact Joey.

Parades: PAC Rat participation in local parades was discussed and seemed people were split 70/30 so Joey was asked to head this up.

Sept. 9th & 10th Andrea Kleinfelter will be appearing in "A Midsummer's Night Dream" at the Highland Park Department. Interested parties should contact nwindianatheatre.org

Murder Mystery Game: Amanda Cuzzo put out a call for PAC Rat ONLY* actresses and actors that are needed for a "Clue" type murder/mystery game. The game is played with 7th and 8th graders and it is up to them to solve the mystery who done it. You can dress up, 20's style, in what ever character you wish (church appropriate - no pimps or prostitutes).

If you are interested, the date is October 14th and the game starts at 6:30 pm so you would have to arrive by 5:30 to prepare. The game will last until 8:30 pm and will take place at Zion Lutheran Church in Tinley Park. Interested parties should call Amanda.

*Not to be rude, but Amanda prefers to deal with
people she is already aquainted with for this event.

Hurricane relief was brought up and the Village of Midlothian is sponsoring a drive and will accept donations from noon to midnight on Tuesday, September 6. We can drop off needed items at the PAC dressing rooms and then just make one trip out there. Needed items are:

Bottled water non-perishable food plasticware
Toilet paper paper towels anti bacterial soap
Diapers formula anti bacterial wipes

Apple Orchard Visit: An outing was arranged to go to the apple orchard in Indiana on October 2nd at noon. Interested parties should contact Rochelle Walters or Wendy Camp.

A Christmas Party was voted on and approved for Dec. 18th in the lobby. More info on this to follow.

A motion to adjourn was made by Wendy Camp and seconded by Jim Walters.

Meeting adjourned at 8:08 pm
