This months' musical selection is dedicated to Sister Marjorie Delaplane, who is leaving us to teach in Willmette.

Meeting Called to disorder at 7:05pm

In attendance: Madelyn Andre, Raymond Cleveland, Tina Farmer, Angela Martin, Ellie Shunko, Joey Tassin, Barry, Megan and Bethany Zurawicz.

1. Reading of the minutes from last meeting was waived and approved by those in attendance.

2. Old Business
A. Spring Show Wrap-up: Thanks to everyone who helped out with Lend Me A Tenor, directed by our new Drama instructor, Bobbie Saltzman. Congratulations to Jackie Gutowski, Dean Scalzitti, and Patrick Schmitt, Dean of Instructional Technologies and Humanities, for being cast in the show. Special thanks to Bill Graham, Angela Martin, Joey Tassin and Megan Zurawicz for helping with the baking for the shows.

B. Ooops! There isn't a B.

3. New Business
A. Wanted: Director(s): We are looking for three directors to direct a series of one-act plays for a PAC Rats show scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 25 & 26, Thursday, October 31, and Friday and Saturday, November 1st and 2nd. If interested, please contact Ellie at 708-596-2000, ext. 2345 or email at ssctheatre@aol.com for more information. We need to know who will be directing by the end of May.

B. Memorial Day Parade: The PAC Rats will be participating in the South Holland Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27. The parade begins from Thornwood High School at 11am, and we will leave from Clan Zurawicz by 10am. We are looking to sell lighter-colored T-shirts specifically designed for concessions helpers and parade marchers. Black T-shirts are too dark for hot summer days. Megan Zurawicz (listpig@earthlink.net). will make the T-shirts. See a picture of the Rat on Parade t-shirt graphic. The shirts are $10 each. Add $2 if you want your name on the back. After the parade, there will be a cookout at Clan Zurawicz and possibly a movie outing. Star Wars: Episode II or Spider Man are options.

C. Summer Theatre Clean-up: Oh boy. Since the summer schedule has been thrown to the wolves, we are going to spend the summer ramping up for the next academic year. Ever wander into the prop room and think: "I wish we could arrange the furniture differently," run screaming from the scene shop muttering "Good heavens we need to have in here," or wonder "why in the world are we keeping THAT piece of junk"? Now's your chance to add your input into the hully gully we call the Kindig Performing Arts Center. We've started a list. We can add to it. All reasonable suggestions are welcome!

D. Great America outing: Thanks to Diane Kaffka, we are able to purchase tickets for Great America at a reduced price of $27.00 for an outing on Sunday, June 23. We will leave from Clan Zurawicz at 9:00am. If interested, please bring money to the next PAC Rats meeting.

E. Bristol Renaissance Faire outing: Plans are in the works to make our annual pilgrimage to see the Bristol Renaissance Faire on a Sunday in July or August. Possible dates include July 21, 28, and August 4, 11, and 18. More info at the next PAC Rats meeting.

F. Return of the Rat Rag: Having been struck on the head with a heavy object, Megan foolishly offered to get the Rat Rag back on its feet. Look for your copy in your mailbox, or you can download an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) version of the Rag by clicking here.

G. Future play/entertainment outings: We are looking for ideas for future play/recreational outings. The following is a tentative list of future outings from now to the end of summer:

May: Cookout after Memorial Day parade and/or movie outing.

June: Play outing to see Second City's ETC production of Holy War, Batman! or The Yellow Cab of Courage on Friday night, June ? at 8pm. Tickets would be $17 each. If interested in going, please contact Paul Braun no later than Sunday, May 19. Also, possibility to see To Hell With Us: The Only World War II Movie Never Made by the Free Associates at the Royal George Theatre on a Sunday in June or July.

July: Cubs game outing vs. Houston on Friday, July 19. Game time is 2:20pm. Tickets will be $20 each. If interested, please contact Paul Braun at pabpacrat1@aol.com by Sunday, May 19.

August : Backstage tour of the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre at Navy Pier on a Saturday afternoon. Tickets are $5.00 each. Possibly see additional play in the evening (Late Nite Catechism, perhaps). More info at next PAC Rats meeting.
