PAC Rat Meeting Agenda For Friday, May 2, 2008

1.     Oklahoma! Wrap up: Giddy up! The SSC Playhouse production of Oklahoma was met with resounding applause! Everyone did an amazing job! Now if I could just get "Surrey with a Fringe on Top" out of my head!

2.     Next on the hit parade: The PAC Rat show will be directed by Tianna Ruleas. The play is titled Meanwhile Back on the Couch - A Crack At The Top by Jack Sharkey - M4, F4

        Synopsis

Psychiatrist Victor Karleen is financially pressed between the rental of his posh office apartment and his fiancee's expensive tastes. A colleague has written a best selling case history book and is now rolling in royalties.

Good friend Parker Donnelly has rejected Victor's similar work because the public is tired of such things and prefers torrid fiction.

Needing cash, Victor reluctantly takes on a new patient who, due to love frustration, is grinding out a rip roaring sex novel. By mistake, his nurse gives the patient's manuscript to Donnelly believing it to be Victor's work.

Suddenly Victor has an enormous advance royalty check, a Book of the Month Club selection and a potential Pulitzer prize.

When he discovers that it is his patient's inviolate confidences and not his clinical casebook that has saved the day, Victor determines to keep his patient crazy until he dreams up the final chapter.

3.     Paint Job: Don't forget that the theatre is getting a paint job. Even the catwalks are getting painted. We'll need help preparing for this project, which begins May 27, 2008. All this needs to be done before the 27th. Yikes!!

¥   The prop room (Rat Cave) needs to be completely emptied as the "boys" will be jackhammering up the floor to put in drain tile and sump pumps.

¥   The catwalks have to be emptied of all lighting units and the projector needs to be wrapped in plastic.

¥   Allegedly the stage drapes all have to come down.

4.     Out of Sorts: All of our hardware and tools need to be sorted and re-organized this summer. Ellie was thinking about having a couple of days of sitting around tables and flinging bits and pieces into buckets while munching on Chinese food. Or some other kind of food. Either way, food will be involved (isn't it always??). Who wants to play?

5.     PAC Rats on the Road: The summer is fast approaching, so what does that mean? ROAD TRIP! The Bristol Renaissance Faire opens on July 5th. We are going as a group on the second weekend (the 12th and 13th) Do we have a preference on the day? Saturday or Sunday? Do we have any other outing ideas? I am sure there are always opportunities for us to steal gaffe tape or something else.

6.     Anything else? Do we have anything else we need to discuss?

7.     Baby Boom: Shannon and Patrick McHugh are having a baby! They are registered at babiesrus.com. How about pooling funds and getting a bunch of little, but much needed stuff? (like onesies, bottles, etc.)
